తెలిసినంతలో భక్తి. కొందరు మనుష్యులు వారికి ఏమీ తెలియకపోయిననూ తమకంతా తెలుసనే భ్రమలో ఏమీ నేర్చుకోనివారుగా మిగిలిపోతారు. మరికొంతమంది మనుష్యులు తాము ఎంత నేర్చుకున్ననూ, తెలుసుకున్నదానినంతా ప్రక్కనపెట్టి, తెలుసుకున్న దానికి న్యాయము చేయకుండా ఇంకా ఏదో తెలియనిది ఉండిపోయినదని ఆరాటపడుతూ ఉంటారు. ఈ రెండు విధానములూ నాశనకరమైనవే. అసలైన భక్తి ఏ విధముగా ఉంటుందంటే, ఇప్పటి వరకు తాము దేవుని గూర్చి తెలుసుకున్నదానికి న్యాయము చేస్తూ (అనగా, తాము తెలుసుకున్నంత వరకు దాని ప్రకారము ప్రవర్తిస్తూ) ఇంకా ఏమైననూ తెలుసుకోవాలని ఉంటే దేవునిపై ఆధారపడతారు. ఈ సంగతులను గూర్చి వివరింపబడిన అద్భుతమైన సందేశమిది. Devotion as much as known. Some people remain unlearned in the illusion that they know everything when they know nothing. And some men lay aside all that they have learned, and do not do justice to what they know, and yearn for the unknown. Both of these approaches are destructive. True devotion consists in doing justice to what we know of God so far (that is, acting according to it so far as we know it) and relying on God if we need to know anything more. This is a wonderful message that explains these things.
